FAQs

What are lactation cookies?

Lactation Cookies provide a nutritiously-dense snack that also supports nursing mothers. Milk enhancing ingredients called “galactagogues” can help boost the supply of milk production.

When will I see an improvement in my milk supply?

Each woman’s body produces it’s own amount of milk, and body chemistry is different for everyone so there is no guarantee any amount of lactation supplements will help. Some women see improvement within a day or two, where others it may take a little longer. There’s a variety of other factors that can also contribute to milk production. Contact a lactation consultant or physician if you have any concerns.

Do you ship your cookies?

For orders out of our local delivery/pick up range of Palm Beach and Martin County FL, please contact us by email hello@smaccookies.com.

When and how many cookies should you eat?

I recommend eating 2-3 cookies every day for at least a week. We suggest mothers to eat two cookies during the mid-morning and then one in the afternoon.

Can I eat the cookies even if I’m not breastfeeding?

YES! Many partners, friends, and family members (even toddlers) will love these cookies! The wholesome, nutritious ingredients in our cookies are a much better alternative than many processed & packaged cookies you find at the grocery store.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We do our best to have orders available for pickup or delivery within 48 hours of order confirmation. For specific arrangements, please contact us by email hello@smaccookies.com.

Can I eat your cookies if I am pregnant?

You should not eat these SMAC lactation cookies if you are pregnant (but feel free to eat any other cookies your heart desires!). Your milk production is not triggered until you deliver your placenta after giving birth.

How do I store the cookies?

Since our cookies are preservative-free, our best advice is that you freeze them upon delivery. They last up to two months in the freezer. We recommend taking the cookies out of the freezer the night before you are ready to eat them. However, they do not take very long to defrost so you can always take them out in the morning as well. They are especially gooey and delicious lightly warmed.
